How to Clean Computer Glasses

Collection of BON CHARGE blue light glasses

Computer glasses are a type of blue light glasses that filter small amounts of blue light during the day. As their name suggests they are to be used whilst working on your computer to filter down blue light.

These type blue light computer glasses typically do not have a tint applied to their lens, instead they have blue light filtering technology applied to them, or impregnated into the lens itself.

There are two best ways to clean clear computer blue light lenses like our own Computer Glasses.

First Way to Clean Computer Glasses

This is the BON CHARGE preferred method for cleaning computer glasses.

  1. Get a clean bowl for hygiene purposes.
  2. Pour warm water into the clean bowl.
  3. Dip your computer glasses into the bowl of water.
  4. Rub the lenses with a clean dish cloth.
  5. Leave your glasses to dry for a few minutes.
  6. Finish by gently rubbing the lenses dry with the BON CHARGE cleaning cloth provided.

Second Way to Clean Computer Glasses

The second method works very well for cleaning computer glasses, but involves chemicals which we are not too excited about here at BON CHARGE.

  1. Buy some “lens cleaning solution” from your local optometrist.
  2. Spray a small amount of lens cleaning solution onto your computer glasses lenses
  3. Gently rub the lenses clean with the BON CHARGE cleaning cloth provided.

  2. Place your blue light glasses near to the steam and not under the running water.
  3. Turn the glasses around to ensure the lens fogs up.
  4. Turn off the tap and then gently clean the steam off your blue light glasses with the BON CHARGE cleaning cloth provided.

Second Way to Clean Blue Light Glasses

  1. Get a clean bowl for hygiene purposes.
  2. Pour warm water into the clean bowl.
  3. Dip your BON CHARGE blue light glasses into the bowl of water.
  4. Rub the lenses with a clean dish cloth.
  5. Leave your glasses to dry for a few minutes.

Final Thoughts

In order to maintain the integrity of your blue light glasses and computer glasses it is best to know how to clean blue light glasses. This will ensure they last for a long time and continue to protect your health from the dangers of blue light.

Either of the above methods work well, but for sterilisation and hygiene purposes we feel option 1 works best.

Option 2 using the lens cleaning solution will probably give you a better result than option 1, but weigh up as to whether you want to use chemicals to clean your glasses or not.
